BIOGRAPHY
Born in 1986 in Poland. He graduated from the University of Wrocław ( history of art ). Self-taught painter, disciple of Karl Kraus' motto: "Modesty is an artist's right, vanity is his duty".
He has participated in numerous individual and collective exhibitions in museums, art galleries and he has had the opportunity to present his works in prestigious auction houses.
Misha mainly paints portraits and abstract art. he uses acrylic paint, dry pastel and tends to experiment with various textures.
His portraits seduce the viewer with their alluring looks. His abstract paintings are "melancholy landscapes" which are a journey in themselves. Currently, Misha lives and divides his time between Paris and Giverny in normandy where he continues his artistic journey.
INSPIRATION
MUSIC
Whenever I paint, I listen to music (classical, jazz, folk, ethnic, electro or techno). I like Edith Piaf, Gotan Project, Anna Maria Jopek, Frederick Chopin, Yatao, Melody Gardot, Ibrahim Maalouf, Yaeji, Miles Davis, but also old Polish tangos, vintage Italian classics or Portuguese fado. But the sounds of nature are also a source of inspiration for me, like the sound of the ocean, the forest, or a storm.
ARTIST
I love 15th and 16th century Dutch and Flemish painting, one of my favorite paintings is "Winter Landscape with Skates and a Bird Trap" by Pieter Bruegl. I also love contemporary artists, socially engaged like Marina Abramović - a Serbian performance artist. However, my fascination and my greatest inspiration are found in the artists of the late 19th century and the first mid-twentieth century: Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Amedeo Modigliani, Egon Schiele, Marc Chagall and Claude Monet.
NATURE
Nature is a very important thing for me, it is thanks to her that I purify my soul. I deliberately chose the French countryside as my place of residence, because it is where I can observe the unique beauty of the changing seasons, and the colors of the wild nature. Light, sun and moonlight also inspire and fascinate me. It is also a journey, a discovery of myths and historical legends - Heritage and memories of places, pagan rituals, healing power, oral transmission.
